Until Everyone Sees the Light

“...I will not rest until your righteousness shines like the dawn, your salvation like a blazing torch.” — Isaiah 60:1b
We live in a world filled with voices, ideologies, and paths that seem to promise fulfillment but leave the heart empty. The Bible reminds us that Jesus is the only true light that can dispel the darkness: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” — John 8:12. This truth confronts us with a great responsibility: the need to proclaim Christ to those who do not yet know Him. The mission of the church is not optional—it is an urgent command: “And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” — Romans 10:14.
The world is in darkness—broken families, young people searching for meaning, communities trapped in pain and despair. Yet over time, the church has grown comfortable with “light” messages, avoiding the confrontation of truth about sin. We’ve heard of grace without repentance, love without holiness, salvation without transformation. However, Christ’s call remains the same: “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” — Matthew 4:17. The world doesn’t need a diluted gospel—it needs a courageous church that proclaims that in Christ there is forgiveness, restoration, and eternal life.
Evangelism is not only about words but about a lifestyle that points to Jesus—with compassion, service, and authenticity. Every act of love is a beam of light that can open someone’s eyes to transforming truth. The Bible reminds us that we were not called only to receive the light but to reflect it: “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” — Matthew 5:14. Our faith cannot remain hidden under comfort. As Paul said: “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.” — Ephesians 5:8.
To be children of light means to live with integrity—in our homes, workplaces, schools, and communities. It means not being ashamed of the gospel, even if the world rejects it, for it is the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16). If every believer decided to be faithful in their small circle, the light would multiply and reach the darkest corners of society. Until everyone sees the light is not just a beautiful phrase—it is a deep commitment: to persevere in the mission, to pray for those who do not yet believe, and to step out of our comfort zones to bring the hope of the gospel to every corner.
The question remains before us: Are we shining with the light of Christ in a dark world, or have we settled for a faith that does not shine? What would happen if each of us decided today to live and proclaim the light of Christ without reservation?
May our hearts burn with the same passion as Christ, who came “to seek and to save the lost.” — Luke 19:10b. And may we say with conviction: we will keep sharing the light of the gospel… until everyone sees the light.
